Prue Stokes - Practice Principal
Prue Stokes is passionate about her work as a Postgraduate Sports Physiotherapist. She has travelled as a team Physiotherapist for the Australian Swim team to many events including the Staging Camp of the London Olympics, 3 World Championships, and a Pan Pacific Championships. Prue also worked as the team physiotherapist for the Hockeyroos (The Australian Female Hockey team) in 2010.
Prue graduated from Physiotherapy at Curtin University in 2006 with First Class Honours. She completed her Masters of Sports Physiotherapy in 2009 at the University of Queensland, in which she won the prize for highest academic results.
While Prue enjoys working with professional athletes, she equally enjoys treating members of the general public. She is passionate about treating shoulder pain, but also enjoys treating backs, necks and all sporting injuries.
Claire Reid (nee Andrewartha) is a Postgraduate Sports Physiotherapist with a special interest in swimming. Claire graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Curtin University in 2001, in which she won the prize for the highest academic results. She completed her Masters of Sports Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland in 2008. Claire has worked with athletes of all ages and stages, from the elite level to recreational sports people. She has undertaken training in clinical pilates and has been incorporating it into her treatment regimes for over 12 years.
Claire is a keen open water swimmer and has participated in events such as the Rottnest Swim and the Busselton Half Iron Man. She also surfs, enjoys stand up paddle boarding and has experience with sailing.
Chloe Hamersley graduated as a Physiotherapist (BSc) in 2006 from Curtin University, Western Australia. She moved to Melbourne to work alongside specialised pilates physiotherapists who mentor other physiotherapists worldwide. Here Chloe completed her Polestar Pilates accreditation. She worked with athletes from Carlton and Richmond (AFL), professional swimmers and tennis players, runners as well as seeing many pre and post-natal clients.
Chloe now enjoys the busy balance between being a mother of young twins, managing her own business (she is at the tale end of designing a high quality, lightweight abdominal support band for new mothers called Tumms) as well as teaching specialised pilates at South Cott Physio.
